On Monday night, former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky (AKA “alleged” child rapist) spoke at length for the very first time (in an exclusive interview with Bob Costas) since he was arrested.
Jerry Sandusky, the accused child rapist who is out on bail, lives about 600 yards away from an elementary school and playground.
Child advocate Rosie O’Donnell had a few words to say about the Penn State tragedy on tonight’s “Rosie Show.”
“I’m kind of sick that the newscasters said he “molested” the boys. One of the assistant coaches walked in as Sandusky was raping a 10-year-old boy…and that boy apparently turned and saw that man witness it. You see salvation at the door. And what happens? Nothing,” said O’Donnell.
Dr. Drew’s reaction?
“This is guilt on guilt! The specifics – I don’t even need to hear! I’m already completely disgusted!”
Dr. Drew also noted that since Sandusky’s “damage control campaign” has backfired — he is sure to attempt suicide.
“We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people.” –Martin Luther King, Jr.

I was surprised, and yet of course NOT surprised that Rosie took this issue head on. Everyone knows fully her support for child rights and children’s charities…..but to actually “go there” at the top of her show. But she was able to make her point VERY strongly and yet inject a little humor into it as well, and do it in a way everyone could relate to. OWN should be proud to have her on their network.
Now WHY aren’t more people watching??!
