Authorities have finally caught up with former Party of Five star Jeremy London – formally pressing charges against him for an alleged domestic violence incident last December involving his estranged wife Melissa Cunningham.

One pesky little thing holding the cops back? Apparently London was never actually arrested for the crime! So in addition to the filing of charges, they’ve also filed a request for an arrest warrant. According to the docs, an argument broke out between the two about whether or not London could take their son out to breakfast. Cunningham objected and the fight escalated to the point that London pulled her hair and hit her on the side of the head.

Can’t say I expect a whole lot of class coming out of a couple like this. They both appeared on Celebrity Rehab together, London likes to claim he’s kidnapped and forced to do drugs, and there’s always been a suspicion that Cunningham lied about London abusing her in the past in order to get herself some publicity.

But the craziest thing is what’s at the end of the docs – apparently London was listed as “transient” ?!? Huh? Can’t TS just call his bestie Brodie and get this all sorted out? I’m sure there’s plenty of room in Brodie’s mom’s basement. Okay, sorry, serious Mallrats reference there, indulge me.

Of course London’s reps are denying this (along with the abuse) in an official statement:

“The allegation for which this charge against Jeremy London is being filed is false and no such abuse occurred… Jeremy London is not homeless and never has been. He lives in Los Angeles and was visiting the Palm Springs area when the incident occurred… This clerical error is reflective of the overall mishandling of this case by both of the Palm Springs Police Department and the DA’s Office.”

That’s right, blame the police and the authorities – not your client’s (and his wife’s, just saying) well-documented problem with substance abuse and lying. Nope, that had nothing to do with his marriage being a mess.
