Demi became semi-conscious and had symptoms of a seizure after inhaling a dangerous amount of the drug. Often taken with the drug Ecstasy (we are not reporting Moore took Ecstasy) nitrous oxide can cause confusion, headaches and a sensation that one is about to pass out or faint. At high doses, nitrous oxide can kill since it replaces oxygen in the bloodstream, depressing the central nervous system and halting breathing.

Whip-its are usually used by younger people looking for a cheap high.

Demi Moore and cheap are words that should never be in a sentence together.

Not to say the earlier reports were inaccurate, necessarily. But from an outsiders POV, it’s not just one thing or two, but many issues that added up to disaster. It would seem heartbreak, being underweight, and this overdose were the perfect storm to take Demi — or anyone else for that matter — down.

In his first smart move in months, Ashton Kutcher was silent when asked about Moore’s condition.
