Former “President” George W. Bush told Parade Magazine in an interview published Friday that he hopes his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, will run for president in 2016.
When asked if the country is ready for another Bush, he said, “That’s for Jeb to figure out, you know what I mean? I would hope that people would judge [him], if Jeb were to run, on his merits* and his track record.…So I hope he will run.”

Don’t know who she is, but I love her and want to know everything about her.

The Twitter account of bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was confirmed to be Tsarnaev’s by a classmate to BuzzFeed, and a CNN reporter said two sources who are Tsarnaev’s friends also confirmed the handle. The Washington Post and ABC News also were posting that the account belonged to Tsarnaev.

“I have something I want to say to the victims of Newtown, or any other shooting. I don’t care if it’s here in Minneapolis or anyplace else. Just because a bad thing happened to you doesn’t mean that you get to put a king in charge of my life. I’m sorry that you suffered a tragedy, but you know what? Deal with it, and don’t force me to lose my liberty, which is a greater tragedy than your loss. I’m sick and tired of seeing these victims trotted out, given rides on Air Force One, hauled into the Senate well, and everyone is just afraid — they’re terrified of these victims. … I would stand in front of them and tell them, ‘Go to hell.’” – Bob Davis, Minnesota Radio Host

Some of you may know Liam James from Psych or The Killing. If you do, kudos. I’d never heard of the 14-year-old actor before tonight. But I’ll tell you one thing: He carries the movie in which he stars (in theaters July 5), entitled The Way, Way Back.
Don’t get me wrong. There’s a stellar cast, which includes the always-remarkable Toni Collette, the lovely Amanda Peet (her character ain’t so lovely here), goofball Steve Carell (he plays hardball), and the exquisite Allison Janney, who gets all the funny — I mean snort-laugh funny — lines, and delivers them all just so in a martini glass served on a platinum tray.

It was no “picnic” for Ann Curry on the TODAY Show. We all know about “Mean Matt” by now.
But reporter Brian Stelter, who has written a book about morning talk-TV, sheds surprising new light on Curry’s final months on the show. After reading the report, one must wonder, did Ann work for high-ranking executives at a legitimate broadcasting company or for teens at a high-school-run cable access program?

The “char-lady,” Mrs. Wiggins, Eunice Harper Higgins…
Carol Burnett’s classic characters from her old CBS TV show retain their timeless comic spark despite the passing of the decades. This month the comedian turns—God bless us all—80 years old. She doesn’t look it. And I bet she still has the vocal prowess to execute her famous Tarzan yell.
This afternoon Burnett is to be feted when the intersection of Highland and Selma avenues in Hollywood is christened Carol Burnett Square. It’s right next to her alma mater, Hollywood High. According to playbill.com, the honoree is scheduled to attend the festivities.

The heinous acts of registered nurse and serial killer Charlie Cullen seem to be lifted out of the pages of Stephen King’s Misery, but this story is anything but fictional. Here’s a promotional description of the book:
“Cullen was dubbed “The Angel of Death” by the media. [SimplyShowbiz.com note: King's Annie Wilkes was nicknamed "The Dragon Lady."]
“But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple murderer. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver.
